民族重生與社會主義革命：麥徐爾·羅茲耶夫之時代（National Rebirth and Socialist Revolution: Meshür Roziev’s Century）

講座摘要：

蘇聯維吾爾知識份子麥徐爾·羅茲耶夫（Meshür Roziev）從1930年代到1970年代在中蘇邊界兩側的維吾爾社會在政治以及文化方面扮演著重要的角色。作為一個教師、作家、官員與情報人員，羅茲耶夫在許多領域裡面都有著影響力。本人目前正在撰寫以羅茲耶夫為主題的專書，透過研究其人其事，將有助我們進一步理解現代維吾爾歷史，中蘇關係、20世紀中亞歷史、以及社會主義與民族形成之間的關係。

Abstract:

From the 1930s through the 1970s, Soviet Uyghur intellectual Meshür Roziev played an important role in Uyghur political and cultural life on both sides of the Sino-Soviet border. As an educator, writer, official, and secret agent, his influence was felt in numerous spheres. Roziev is the focus of my new book project, which considers what his life and career can tell us about modern Uyghur history, Sino-Soviet relations, twentieth-century Central Asian history, and the relationship between socialism and nation formation.

喬舒亞·弗里曼（Joshua L. Freeman）

2012年畢業於新疆師範大學文學院的碩士學位，畢業論文題目為「維吾爾朦朧詩派的起源、發展與兩個方向」。2019年畢業於哈佛大學內亞阿爾泰學系的博士學位。2019-2022年在普林斯頓大學「學人社」做博士後，在東亞學系擔任講師。從2022年至今擔任中央研究院近代史研究所的助研究員。其專書「The Poetry of Power: Uyghur National Culture in Twentieth-Century China」2026年將於哥倫比亞大學出版社出版。
